Q: Where will Liberty By The Lake be located?

A: WE ARE BACK AT THE LAKE! We hope you will join us at the Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Rd. for the same great family fun you have come to expect at Liberty By The Lake! Please remember that the park will be closed starting Wednesday, June 28th and will open at 11:00am. No parking will be allowed in the park until after 11:00am.

 

Q: Is there a fee to attend the Liberty By The Lake festival?

A: No!  Liberty By The Lake is a FREE event.  There are some activities, such as the Family Fun Zone, that have a participation fee.  Also, on site parking is $20/car.

 

Q: Is there a parking fee?

A: Yes. On site parking is $20/car.  The main parking lots will not open until 11:00am. No trailers are allowed in any of the event parking lots. There will be free shuttle parking located at Lakeview Middle School and will drop off at Ethridge Elementary. All shuttle users will have to walk into the festival from the drop off location at Ethridge Elementary.

 

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: No! We ask that you please leave your pets at home.

 

Q: Are dogs and/or baby strollers allowed in the Liberty 5K, 10K & 1 Mile Fun Run?

A: Baby strollers are allowed for the 1 Mile and 5K only.  We ask that anybaby strollers start the race at the back so as to not create any trip hazards for other participants when the race begins.  Dogs are NOT allowed on the race course per USATF rules and regulations.

 

Q: Can we bring a cooler to the event?

A: Yes! We do encourage you to stop by our food vendor booths to get the full Liberty By The Lake experience. No grills allowed.

 

Q: Are there ATM’s on site?

A: Yes! There will be an ATM kiosk station located within the festival area.

 

Q: Is the event site ADA accessible?

A: There are several paved areas of the festival, however the majority of the festival grounds are located on grass surfaces. Handicap parking is available for those with proper markings and/or tags.

 

Q: What is there to do besides watching the bands?

A: Lots! In addition to exploring the Family Fun Zone rides and activities, there are a ton of other fun happenings at Liberty By The Lake.  Be sure not to miss the awesome BMX stunt shows, the interactive percussion show, and the tumbleweed crossing performances.  Also, be on the lookout for the homemade salsa competition as well as the watermelon eating contest. Lastly, stick around until 9:30pm and prepare yourself for the best fireworks in Texas!

 

Q: Are we allowed to bring lawn chairs or a blanket or shade canopy?

A: Yes, but please be respectful of others. Chairs should be low to the ground and have backs at shoulder height. Keep in mind that unless otherwise noted, this is “festival viewing” with no reserved seating and patrons may be standing in front of you during a performance.  We want everyone to enjoy the concerts and have a great time. Be respectful of people around you and please share your space, get to know your neighbors, and make room for others!

 

Q: How can I volunteer to help at Liberty By The Lake?

Q: If a parent loses a child, where should they go?

A: The found children's area is at the City of The Colony Police Command Unit located near the pavilion. We encourage your family to identify this spot (or another festival location) as a good place to meet in case anyone becomes separated.
